Two names linked with Cardiff

Cardiff City is linked to two players this morning one the Rumour Mill has linked to the Bluebirds before and young Plymouth Argyle striker Joe Mason.

Mason began his career as a youth player with hometown club Plymouth Argyle at the age of 10 and via an Irish born mother is a Republic of Ireland U21 international. He played in 35 games in total for Plymouth scoring seven. It's now up to the player and Cardiff to agree terms, but after all the money problems at Plymouth last season with players not receiving their wages a regular wage at Cardiff could be a deal maker.

He could be in a race to be Cardiff managers Malky Mackey fifth signing has the Icelandic midfielder Aron Gunnarsson is also a target according to rumours doing the rounds on the internet. With his contract at Coventry now expired he is a free agent the rumours have a deal is sown up only waiting on the outcome of a medical sometime today.

It these rumours are true it could be a bit late for them to leave on the week training warm weather training.

There is a distant lack of strikers at Cardiff City nowhere near enough at so there is still some shopping for Mackay in the transfer market. All the rumours surrounding David Goodwillie have died down from the start of start of the week he was flying in for a medical.
