City only a few players short

According to press reports, Cardiff City boss Malky Mackay wants two or three playing to complete is squad in time for the 2011.
"There were 12 players who left the squad over the close season and we still need to strengthen. We really need another two or three bodies."
"But there is no need to rush. The transfer window is open and stays that way until September 1. We have that time to make sure we bring in the right players. No door is closed, none at all.
"We will take our time, talk things through, and if it takes a little longer than ideally we would have wanted, and we get the players we want, then so be it.
"I know this division and I know the type of players we want. Everyone goes into the race to win it and we will be one of the clubs trying to win it."
So far only drafted in six new players and there is only three weeks until the start of the season. I like the way City boss Mackay his doing business not one loan signing so far and I have a feel there won't be unless something happens on the Craig Bellamy front.

Cardiff are reported to have an offer on the table for Dundee striker David Goodwillie while there are a few other names linked. The rumour in Scotland is suggesting Goodwillie want to go to Rangers who unlike Cardiff are will to play the £2m asking price.
