A distance of 41 odd miles separates two of the biggest football rivals in Welsh football and one of the top UK derbies to boot Cardiff City v Swansea City. The temperature of this game means fans of both clubs have to be bussed to each other’s grounds on match days and the games are all ticket. There is always a
heavy police presents even if these days there is little chance of the two sets of fans clashing these days.
While some 10.650 miles away across the over side of world in New South Wales Australia another footballing derby takes place tomorrow. Two clubs involed bear the names of their Welsh cousins taking the field will be Cardiff City and Swansea City clash.
Only a matter 14 odd miles (22.6 km) separate the two clubs play in the Northern NSW Zone Premier League and at the time of writing. Cardiff City FC will travel to Swansea City’s Chapman Oval ground and you can bet the game will not be an earlier in the season battled out a 2-2 draw. Cardiff are fourth while Swansea are sixth.
I am not sure if there is any great rival between the two clubs Cardiff same to have a strong dislike to the other (South) Cardiff. One thing for sure you can bet there will be no ‘bubble’ for the Cardiff fans travelling to Swansea.
