Mentioned in Dispatches

On Channel 4 Despatches programme ‘How To Buy A Football Club’ tonight at 8pm (9pm+) is set to wake up football before the new league season as got underway. A team from Channel 4's Dispatches posed as representatives of Chinese and Indian businessmen looking to buy two team, which is against FA and League rules. The show links  former player and manager Bryan Robson.

Meetings that took place in Thailand were Bryan Robson was manager of the  national side until recently. Also involved was London Nominees Ltd, a company that runs a football investment fund. Robson is listed on its website as an adviser to the fund. A spokesman for London Nominees said: "Any suggestion Bryan Robson would participate in any breach of League rules is strongly denied."

On the programme you can hear some after about buying Sheffield Wednesday and another team Cardiff City,
Reporter: We want to buy Sheffield Wednesday.
Reporter: We also want to buy another.
Reporter: My people were mentioning Cardiff, if it’s available.
Andrew Leppard: Cardiff is available
Bryan Robson: It’ll not be cheap.
Not sure, of the time line of this programme but Cardiff City has not been for sale since the Malaysians come bought into the club. I for one will be watching.
