Mason signings

Cardiff City boss Malky Mackay has made his sixth signing since taking over at Cardiff City. Today young striker Joe Mason put pen to paper, sign for the Bluebirds after his old club Plymouth and Cardiff had agreed terms, and the player accepted personal terms.

Reports in the press suggest the deal was worth £250,000 to Plymouth but the Official Cardiff City website have announced the deal as ‘undisclosed’. Mason has signed a three-year contract and is now travelling to join up with the squad at Spain.

Mason came through the youth system at Plymouth making his first-team debut in December 2009. In total, Mason made 55 appearances for the Pilgrims with 24 of those as a substitute and scored 10 goals.
