Opening Prayer Sample Basketball

How will

In a brief operation, the result of the anxiety that has led to the departure of Fernando Torres to Chelsea, Andy Carroll comes to Liverpool in a whitewash of the team that has been cooked during the winter market. Your price discussed, although it is understandable criticism should not detract from the qualities that draw a striker called to be the benchmark for short-term England with Rooney. In addition to the hiring of Luis Suarez, the re-engineer Anfield striker sell banner to become a front, despite the redundancy, enviable.

exercise contexts: Just turned 22 years, 191 cm tall and still poor experience at Premier League. Maximum rise of Newcastle architect of last season with 17 goals and more than a dozen in the current season. In Liverpool know him well, only to remember his party St James Park several months ago. Such action, precisely that is Andy Carroll.

Andy Carroll on his arrival in Liverpool

What has signed for Liverpool?

Andy Carroll's football
direct current ideology Dalglish team. Carroll is set back, get a high ball with his chest and lower. Carroll is a brutal aerial game, very powerful, successful and differential. Carroll is a control-oriented, and a powerful shot. Carroll is an offensive reference, a goal to send a trigger balls and all of the second play. Carroll is also a goal.

demand
Liverpool and offers every feature that includes Carroll. Difficult to find a player that better engages a game context. Queen is the first attacker of a team that does not keep the pause in office, which dearly is capable of handling the future of a party. Porter itself boasts an prodigious long throw-in made in the image like the player who gets to be the nine. The continuation of the play is the result of its decision. There are few players in the Liverpool llegarám you support, entering second play and have a great shot from distance.

That's where his role, and therefore well suited to Liverpool today. Because the 'reds' call for a player of the qualities of Carroll and his position that guarantees to exploit their own. Falling Fernando Torres is paramount, both qualitatively and morally, which seems to have faded, in no If deleted, hiring a double attacker: Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll.

To-date one out, none in

It’s been a very low key last day of the January transfer window so far of Cardiff City and boss Dave Jones.

The first bit of news was that Jones had put in a bid for Preston keeper Andy Lonergan. The Preston Chairman Maurice Lindsay seemed to have a pop at Cardiff for sending a fax, he said,
"We've turned down a bid from Cardiff for Lonergan - they didn't have the confidence to ring us up, we got a fax from them."
The offer was turned down out of hand. Will Jones go back for another try, if he does he had better pick up the phone.

A rumour was doing the rounds of the internet over the weekend that Andy Keogh would be on the move, and it turned out to be true. Keogh may have been on a season long loan with the Bluebirds but a recall back to Wolves  and now he is off to Bristol City until the end of the season.

He as not been able to hold a first team spot and with Jay Bothroyd insisting he would stay unitl the end of the season when he will then consider his future and Jon Parkin’s signing, Keogh could have seen his chances reduced. According to sources in Bristol Keogh trained this morning with his new team mates and could be in the starting line-up to face Swansea City on Tuesday. All Cardiff fans will wish him well and even more so if he helps his new club beat Swansea tomorrow.

Cardiff have been linked with Rotherham United striker Adam Le Fondre, he could cost the Bluebirds around £500,000.

Tracy Morgan: Sarah Palin 'Hottest MILF In The World'

Sarah Palin has one big fan, but it may have nothing to do with her politics.

Appearing on the red carpet at the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday night, Tracy Morgan had some interesting praise for Palin, which he tacked on at the end of an interview, apropos of nothing.

"Sarah Palin, you're the hottest MILF in the world," he shouted out, confusing his interviewer. Perhaps she shouldn't have been so bewildered -- this was the second time in a week that Morgan called out Palin for her looks.

On Thursday night, Morgan was the guest on TNT's NBA pre-game show, and when asked to settle the hosts' dispute over Tina Fey vs. Palin, Morgan responded: "Now let me tell you something about Sarah Palin man, she's good masturbation material. The glasses and all that? Great masturbation material."

TNT later apologized, but clearly, Morgan felt no remorse.

Busy Tuesday night in the Championship

Managers, fans and pundits always saying Christmas/New Year can make or break your season however it looks like February will be Cardiff’s Armageddon with seven important games to be played.

That kick-off tomorrow with Reading the visitors to the Cardiff City stadium (kick-off 7:45pm) who are just outside a play-off and in the chase for a top six finish, six points behind the 3rd placed Bluebirds.  At Reading earlier in the season the both teams fought out a 1-1 draw with Jay Bothroyd scoring the goal for the Bluebirds.
Tomorrow’s fixture at the top end of the Championship show:-
Bristol City (17) v Swansea City (4)
Cardiff City (3) v Reading (9)
Coventry (14) v Nottingham Forest (5)
Hull City (12) v Leeds Utd (6)
Norwich (2) v Millwall (8)
QPR (2) v Portsmouth (18)
Watford (7) v C Palace (22)
() donates league position
There are 21 points for the taking in February and a clean sweep would be great for the promotion push, but 15 plus points are a must. At this time of the season relaying on rivals around you to slip-up is a dangerous game.

Do we need another keeper? I thought it was outfield players on Dave Jones shopping list.

Gabbidon speculation

A return of Gabbidon????
With defender Chris Riggott rumoured to be having his contract terminate (not officially announced) Cardiff boss Dave Jones must be looking to add to his defence.

In midfield he (Jones) has lost Danny Drinkwater along with Solomon Taiwo and Aaron Wildig out on loan with Aaron Ramsey here only he for a month, is a new midfielder a target now.

Papers are reporting the ex-Cardiff defender Danny Gabbidon would welcome a return to Cardiff and Dave Jones would like to help him to his goal.

Jamie Moralee of New Era Global Sports Management who act for him told the South Wales Echo,
“At the moment Danny is concentrating on playing for West Ham.
“But the only club that could take his eyes off that is Cardiff.
“West Ham are reluctant to let him go and they want to keep him. But Cardiff want him, Danny wants to go and we are interested in helping him make his dream come true.”
Gabbidon will be out of contract in the summer however the negotiation between the player and club stalled. He is report to be on high wages at West Ham and the new owners are looking to cut back on the wages bill and see the chance to renegotiate the contract. He is believed to be on a contract of around £25k/pw that kind of wages could be a problem with any deal between the Hammers and the Bluebirds. The West Ham boss is reluctant to let him go even with him dropping down the pecking order at the London club. He (Gabbidon) has repentantly turned down talk of him joining either Rangers or Celtic who were interested in the defender.

With the position West Ham are in, bottom of the Premier League they would surely not loan him or sell him to a rival Premiership club at this delicate time of the season. One newspaper is suggesting Cardiff have made a £250,000 offer half of what Cardiff paid West Brom back in September 2000. Later Cardiff sold him along with James Collins for £3million in July 2005 to West Ham.

If Cardiff City does make a move watch this space because the hours and minutes are slipping away fast the window shuts for transfer on Monday 11pm.

To Hull and back......

Today the R's travelled to Hull looking to build on their 2-1 victory over Coventry. The gang were in attendance for the long drive to Yorkshire.

The day started off with me waking up late and delaying the departure of Sam and myself, wooops! After my unplanned lay in we finally reached Jenson at 10 and departed with PK already in the car and made our way to Lofty's before hitting the M1 hard and let Jenson get his drive on and fight through the mountain of roadworks.
Halfway into the journey we got our prediction competition underway and the usual lively debate commensed as everyone wanted to try and topple Lofty having won it last time out, PK was determined to regain the crown that he was unable to defend previously.
As we neared the end of the predictions PK was given a rare treat as two Elvis songs played and distracted PK for the next six minutes, after this all of us decided that all of PK's predictions would be Elvis or anything else related, such a funny moment that liven us all up in time for our arrival at the KC and we where in very good sprits.
We got into the ground and enjoyed a quick beer before we bumped into Michael for a quick chat and then we met with Iceman and then was joined by Lorna(clingy) and her friend Kelly. We all took to the stands in hope of an entertaining game.

Neil Warnock made one change from the team thay won against Coventry, Ishmael Miller started as Heidar Helguson dropped out through injury.

Photobucket

As the teams took to the pitch for the pre-match line up and photos with the officials can you believe that over the PA system played Elvis's song "Can't help falling in love with you"...... You can imagine the joy that was on PK's face and with him dancing around the first half got underway.
The game started of as a lively encounter with both teams looked to push forwards only to be thwarted by the defensive line on every occasion.
Hull had a good spell after the opening exchanges and looked quite threatening but were not able to create any clear cut chances as Kaspers Gorkss shone in the Rangers' back four throughout the first half.
About 25 minutes in and the R's finally began to getj their passing game together and created more space and problems for the Hull defence.
Rangers' thought they had gone ahead when Miller was played in after some great passing in the Rangers' midfield, Miller poked the ball past Brad Guzan in the Hull goal but having intially starting the celebrations we finally noticed the offside flag, no goal. I received a text from Jess shortly after and apparently the decision was a very tight one, will be interesting to see it again later on.
The R's continued to push but to no avail as the half come to a close.
The major talking point came five minutes before the end of the half.
A ball failed to reach Taarabt, who was having an ok game at the time, the young Morrocan took his gloves off and started walking down the touchline with his head down and then signalled over to the dugout that he wanted to come off. After getting no reaction the first time around he proceeded to do this a second time, much to the annoyance of Warnock who shook his head and just wanted the half time whistle to sound.
After the half time whistle blew Keith Curle walked straight up to Taarabt, put his arm around him and looked to calm him down as they went down the players tunnel.

At half time we all done our best to warm up by using various techniques, Iceman went for the pie option, PK and Jenson went for the hot drink and I got a coke and started jumping around and probably looked mental whilst doing it.

Photobucket

The second half started and Rangers' were soon had their head in their hands.
A great cross to the back post aimed at Orr looked destined for the net as he made a great leap, unfortunately he misjudged it completely and barely made contact as the ball tricked out for a goal kick.
Orr once again had a great chance when a free kick was aimed to the back post and this time he met it with the side of his right foot and his shot flew over. Had either of the chances been on target then Rangers' would have taken the lead in my eyes.
The game continued to ebb and flow as both side were just cancelling each other out.
The R's were then given two worries for the upcoming games as Alejandro Faurlin looked quite badly injured as he took a knock to the knee, he did try running it off and after five minutes he looked more mobile but was replaced by Petter Vaagen Moen, hopefully as just a precaution.
The second blow came as Tommy Smith went down with what looked like a hamstring strain, he was replaced by Rob Hulse.
Both teams seemed looked as if they did not want to lose the game and less risks were being taken as chances were very few and far between.
The final fives minutes saw Hull pose more threat than at any other time during the game and Rangers' had to battle hard to keep the scores level as it looked like Rangers' begun to panic.
Hull had a golden opportunity to win it in injury time as they beat the R's back line for the first time, only for the resulting shot, from Fryatt I think, was blazed over!

Photobucket

At the beginning of the game I think most people would've been more than happy to take a point at the KC and having seen that Hull have only scored 11 and conceded 6 in their 13 home games this season we all knew this was not going to be a pretty game.
Having had a good spell in the first half we thought that if we stepped it up another gear in the second half then the game was ours for the taking. However the two Orr chances were the best chances we had of scoring and failed to take it, we need a goal from open play away from home, the last one, if you don't include Coventry away, was at Palace away if I remember rightly(I have to give Clive the credit for that fact).(The goal at Bristol City came from a corner)
The Taarabt saga will be spoken about a lot tonight with people obviously going to have strong opinions on the issue. I believe that Warnock done the right thing and did not give in and made sure Taarabt knew he has to play for the team and just play through the frustrating periods of the game, he done it against Coventry before scoring and then putting in a great second half performance and the week before at Burnley he was kicked left, right and centre but ploughed on through before coming off the pitch looking like a rugby player. I'm sure everyone will sit down with him and put his head right before Portsmouth on Tuesday night.

Todays Man of the Match has three contenders from us. Kaspers Gorkss was solid at the heart of the defence and didn't put a foot wrong. Tommy Smith was superb throughout the first half and his movement throughout the game was second to none. The award today goes to Ishmael Miller for his great hold up play, rarely did he lose a header and was unfortunate not to score today having had two offside decisions go against him when they looked very close. A great start for Miller and if he keeps this up then he will prove to be a great signing for the club.

After saying goodbye to Iceman, Clingy and her friend we went back to the car to get the results of our prediction competition in what was the closest finish we have had for some time. Jenson led the way into the final round before the final positions ended as follows- 5th place Sam 12points, 4th place PK 15points, joint 2nd Lofty and Jenson 17points and finally after months without a win I finally got bacl on track with a winning score of 21points.
Jenson had a superb effort in the car coming home, our arrival time back home was at 21.33 and as we speak that time is down to 20.16. We are in Milton Keynes now and will be back home soon!

Oscars Hosts: James Franco Saves Anne Hathaway From Wardrobe Malfunction

Wardrobe Malfunction
James Franco is nominated for an Oscar, and he's doing his best to make sure nothing goes wrong when he hosts the show.
In the first promo for the Academy Awards telecast, James Franco and Anne Hathaway show that they're hard at work preparing for the show -- though Franco may get a little overzealous. Hey, maybe he just doesn't want an FCC violation.
Right, because James Franco is very concerned with public opinion.
Check out the nominees for the awards.

Cardiff ex loanee now with loanee at Watford

Surprise, surprise the midfielder Danny Drinkwater who has only just returned to his parent club Manchester United, after a loan spell with the Bluebirds has joined Championship rivals Watford loan to the end of the season.

Betting among Cardiff fans reckon he would be off to Peterborough with the son, father relationship between Peterborough and Manchester United management.

It looks like the rumour that Sir Alex Ferguson recalled his player due to the lack of game was right. They would have been a bit scarcer with arrival on loan of Jay Emmanuel-Thomas followed by Aaron Ramsey. Emmanuel-Thomas is here until the end of the season but Ramsay is only here for a month and is looking to rejoin the Arsenal squad sooner rather then later, so an extension to the month loan deal is looking unlikely.

Still a few days left before the end of the transfer window shuts and with a weekend free, will have see what City boss Dave Jones planed over the next few days.

Star player leaves on loan....

Today it was revealed that influential R's striker Leon Clarke has joined Preston on loan until the end of the season.

Photobucket

Clarke has been a revelation for the club since joining the club on a free transfer in the summer and will be a massive loss to the club, his departure could potentially rock the R's push for promotion having reluctantly agreed to the deal.
Clarke's desire to play for a successful club played a big part in his decision to leave the club and will swap warming up a bench in W12 for a relegation scrap, whilst sitting on the bench in Preston......

Good luck Leon, enjoy your stay in Preston!!! (don't come back)

Bothroyd in the dock a bit

Cardiff City striker Jay Bothroyd has run into Twitter trouble yesterday after twitting his displeasure of the state of the Cardiff City stadium pitch and the pitches at the Vale training ground.

He tweeted:
Our training pitches are the worst in the country along with our pitch!!!
Our pitch is just mud and sand, just bobbly Great stadium, great fans, great training ground, everything is great except the pitches.
It was quickly taken down but it was too late to stop his tweet hitting the Cardiff City messageboards. The pitch at the CCS has been a major concern with the fans even the club have there concerns. If you compare Cardiff City stadium with the Liberty Stadium, both share with rugby clubs but the condition of the Liberty is miles better.

During the fitting out of the stadium the club omitted to buy in the new specialist lighting system with helps the pitch stay in condition. It costs around £300,000 to buy and the is a 3 month waiting list at least for delivery so even if the club were to invest it wouldn’t help for this season but what about next season.

The Cardiff City chief executive Gethin Jenkins said:
“We are aware of the comments made by one of our players on Thursday.
“As a part of our ongoing pitch maintenance program, we have had turf experts visit the club on several occasions, including a visit this week.
“The reason for the current condition of pitch is partly down to some of the coldest weather in 100 years. We recognise the need for lights to help the growth, but these cost more than £300,000 to purchase, plus considerable running costs. When these lights were needed to be ordered we were under a transfer embargo and our priority at that time was to address some of the fundamental issues concerning the club and the business.
“The ground staff at Cardiff City Stadium have worked tirelessly this year to ensure matches have gone ahead and can’t be praised enough.
“Naturally as we turn the business around we will look again at lights in the close season.
“In the meantime, we will work hard to get the pitch back up to its normal high standards, helped no doubt by the coming spring.”
The conspiracy theories among the supporters believe there is a plan afoot by Bothroyd, his agent or even the club to get a transfer. However Bothroyd has wants to see out the season, Cardiff boss Dave Jones wants him to stay, the Malaysians are happy for him to say so do most of the fans some feel the club should cash in on the player everyone has an idea. I have one to like manager Jones keep him unless there is a crazy bid, there are only two days and a bit left before the transfer window is shut.

Bothroyd signed off is tweeter account yesturday saying,
Think I'm gonna have twitter break... I said I would last time but didn't . I'm gonna stick to it this time .... Speak soon tweetfam

Big Dan Returns!!!!

Today the club have announced the signing of another former R's player, this time its Big Danny Shittu that returns to the club, over four years since he left the club.

Photobucket

Shittu has signed a six month contract having seen his contract expire at Millwall yesterday.
He comes in to challenge Kaspers Gorkss and Matt Connolly for a place at the heart of the defence as there is no real cover in the centre back positions as we only have Fitz Hall as an experienced defender that could provide back up.

Shittu joined the club for £350,000 in 2001 having impressed during a loan spell at the club. Due to the R's financial instabilities it has funded by Harold Winton, a very loyal QPR fan, he also paid Shittu's wages during his first season at the club.
Shittu went on to play for the R's 169 times in total, scoring 17 times.

Photobucket

Shittu left the club in 2006 to join Watford for £1.6 million before heading to Bolton in 2008 for a fee in excess of £2million.
Shittu's contract at the Trotters' was terminated early this season and this led to him signing a three month deal at Millwall so he could get games under his belt before look at his options in January.

Welcome back Danny from everyone here at Lofty Heights!!

R's on the Road to.............. Hull City

On Saturday the R's travel up north once again to play the rearranged fixture against inconsistent Hull City. With Rangers' getting back to winning ways in front of the Sky cameras on Sunday can they now take advantage of their game in hand and further extend their lead at the top or will Hull, who have only scored 11 and conceded 6 in their 13 home games this season, scupper the R's plans to pull further ahead of the chasing pack.

Club History.

Hull City Association Football Club was founded in June 1904. For some years previously, attempts had been made to found a football club, but this proved difficult because the city was then dominated by rugby league teams such as Hull FC and Hull KR.
Hull have spent the majority of the clubs history in the lower echelons of English Football but having been taken over by former Leeds’ commercial director Adam Pearson, he saved the club which were temporarily locked out of their Boothferry Park Stadium and heading towards inevitable liquidation having staved off years of money troubles.
Pearson bought some financial muscle to the club and begun to build a new home for the club up the road from Boothferry park and allowed new manager Brian Little to start restructuring the club. However after the club was underperformance Little was relieved of his duties and was replaced by Jan Molby.
Molby was only at the helm for a matter of months before his run of poor results cost him his job and was replaced by Peter Taylor.
Taylor was the man that took Hull into the KC Stadium and secure promotion from Division Three in the next season and at the first attempt in League One he steered the club to Runners Up spot and into the Championship for the 2005/06 season.
Having finished in 18th position that season, which was the clubs highest position for over 16 years.
Taylor left the club in the summer of 2006 and was replaced by Phil Parkinson.
Having endured a poor start to the season and the club in the relegation places, Parkinson was sacked and replaced by Phil Brown as caretaker manager, before taking the job on permanently in January 2007. Brown helped secure Hull’s status as a Championship club as they finished in 21st position.
The following season Brown helped Hull achieve and equal the clubs previous highest ever league position was third in the Second Division and having matched that on the way to achieving promotion to the top flight for the first time in the clubs history.
Having enjoyed playing as a Premier League team for two seasons, the club were relegated back to the Championship last season and during the summer Nigel Pearson was announced as the clubs new manager, having come close to getting Leicester into the Premier League, narrowly missing out in a Play-Off Semi Final against Cardiff.

The Stadium.

Current capacity – 25,404

Photobucket

The KC Stadium was opened in December 2002, having cost the club £44 million to construct it. The Stadium is used by both Hull City FC and Hull Rugby League clubs.
The ground is set in a parkland area and has won numerous awards for its impressive design.
Three for the four sides are single tiered, whereas the West Stand has two tiers. There are future plans for the East and South Stands to be developed into two tier stands also but there is no concrete timescales on these plans.
The away fans are housed in the North Stand and boasts a decent sized concourse and good old fashioned pie and a beer available from the kiosks.
Unfortunately there are a few in the Hull stands that like to berate the away supporters (as we found out in 2005) and this can lead to you feeling a little uncomfortableduring your visit.
The stadium is also a ‘no standing area’ and the stewards are very rigid on this policy so expect them to be a complete pain in the arse all game.

The History between the teams.

At (20)

Hull 11
QPR 4
Draw 5

Rangers’ have been unable to secure a victory in any of their three visits to the KC Stadium but two draws and a loss is not such a bad figure of results considering that it’s going to be a tough place for any Championship club to go and get a result there.

Rangers’ last league victory over Hull was in the 1969/70 season when they won 2-1 at Boothferry Park.
Rangers’ also have two League Cup victories over Hull, coming in 1985/86 (en route to the Cup Final) and in 1991/92.
This fact obviously stand for nothing as they were so long ago and Hull is a very different club now, hopefully we can record a more recent victory as soon as possible.

How to get there.

By Car: - The postcode for the KC Stadium is HU3 6HU.
From the south it’s best to go up the M1, coming off at junction 32 and joining the M18.
Follow the M18 until you get to junction 7 and then join onto the M62.
Carry on down the M62 until it turns into the A63 and follow this for 15 miles before reaching a roundabout and take the 1st exit onto the A1079. At the next set of traffic lights turn left onto the A1105. At the next set of lights turn right onto WaltonStreet and you will be at the KC Stadium.

For parking you can park at the stadium car park for £5.
Other options include parking at the Park and Ride on the A63 just as you enter Hull, queuing for a bus after the game can be tedious however!
The other option is to park in one of the multi-storey/shopping centre car parks, but you will more than likely have about a 10-15minute walk to the ground from here.

By Train: - The Stadium is a 20-25 minute walk from the station. To get to the ground from Hull Paragon station you leave the train station at the South side and turn right onto Anlaby Road. Walk straight on down this road and you will reach the stadium.

Pubs 'n' Grub.
The easiest pub for away fans to access is The Brickmakers pub virtually opposite the stadium car park entrance. Away fans are allowed in and there are Sky Sports screens in there and also a burger van outside, perfect!
Other possibilities include the Walton Street Social Club and the Linnet & Lark pub which is a 15 minute walk away, down Princes Avenue.

Alcohol is served in the ground from about the £3.20 mark.

Drinkwater back at United

Sky Sports News is reported that Manchester United have recalled midfielder Danny Drinkwater from is season long loan. They (Sky) are sighting the lack of first team football has the reason.

The midfielder made seven league starts with two appearances from the bench plus three cup starts while with the Bluebirds. Is time at the Cardiff City stadium has been hit by injury and just has he looked to be on the round to fitness, he was hit by illness that stuck a number of Cardiff players.

With the arrival of Jay Emmanuel-Thomas and Aaron Ramsey competition in the middle of the field as hotted up and maybe United didn’t want to see him sideline allow there is a rumour he (Drinkwater) asked for the return to old Trafford.

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson said at the time of the loan deal he wanted to see him playing games not warming the bench. Drinkwater’s return to Manchester could be short lived, if fit he could still go out on loan.

Wildig off to the SPL on loan

With one Cardiff City rumoured to be off to Scotland, another player is off to Scotland, Aaron Wildig.

The young Cardiff midfielder is off to SPL club Hamilton Academicals who are bottom of the league on loan until the end of the season. Hamilton manager Billy Reid said about Wildig,
“As for Aaron, he has been playing at Championship level since he was 17 and that underlines the quality he possesses.
“We hope to have Aaron sign until the end of the campaign on loan”
He is a product of the Bluebirds youth system, English born but is at the moment pursuing his international career in the Welsh set-up. He made is debut start against Bristol City in the FA Cup last season and a few days later made his first league start. He scored his first and only goal so after and Newcastle in a 5-1 defeat. He has had limited chances this season with the influx of midfield plays

According to a report of the official Hamilton website Wildig’s played in a friendly today.

Matthews to Celtic? been here before

Here we go again according to the Scottish newspaper the Daily Record the Celtic boss Neil Lennon is interested in young Cardiff full-back Adam Matthews and could get for nothing.

Matthews last season was link with Manchester United, Arsenal and even AC Milan, that could have brought a rumoured £5million to the table. He has dropped down the pecking order at the Cardiff City stadium and will be out of contract in the summer and like Joe Ledley can walk away without Cardiff receiving a fee. There is a reported offer on the table and the player and his representatives are talking to the club, but he can still listen to other offers. The thought of losing two valued players (Bothroyd) in the summer for nothing must be worrying to everyone at the club.

Matthews has made only 2 league starts this season compared with the 24 league games last season and has made most of his appearances of the bench. Cardiff boss Dave Jones criticised after the 2-0 defeat at Ipswich early in the season for the own-goal he scored.

Like any player he wants first team football but a move can’t give him a guarantee and loan deal could be a better route but it would only work to Cardiff’s favour if he signs a new contract.

Celtic believe the could get Matthews for as little as £500,000 before the transfer window was to close or sign him up on a pre-contract agreement meaning he would join up with the Scottish club. He has still learning his art and in the further could bring in millions like Aaron Ramsay and Chris Gunter, can Cardiff afford to miss-out again.

Avril Lavigne's 'What The Hell' Video Out; Star Shows Skin

Avril Lavigne is back -- and she wants you to know it.
The pop-punk princess released her first single in four years earlier in January, an anthem called 'What the Hell,' and the video for the tune hit the web on Sunday.
In it, she's scantily-clad in minimal lingerie before rejecting a guy and wreaking havoc on a town. Avril also showed skin -- even more, as she was topless -- in a video in October for Maxim. That's okay, though, as she was divorced from her guitarist husband Deryck Whibley in November.

Back up to second after win

Good win on Saturday and back second if only on goal difference as it gets all tight at the top of the Championship table. Top of the table QPR are now five points ahead of Cardiff in second with 47 points which the share with Norwich and Swansea.

Cardiff City maybe well be without a game until Tuesday week with the visit of Reading who are also vying for an automatic promotion, but will still have to look over they shoulders. A number rivals have games this week, Nottingham Forest have a game tomorrow with a win seeing them a point behind Cardiff, with a game in hand. Then on Saturday both QPR and Norwich have game that could see Cardiff further behind QPR and Norwich leapfrog over the City into second.  On Tuesday 1st Feburay, there will be a full fixture list for the Championship

Upcoming game of interest
Tuesday - Nottingham Forest v Bristol City
Saturday - Crystal Palace v Norwich
Saturday - Hull v QPR
The Cardiff City boss Dave Jones can now concentrate on bring in the two or three players he wants to sign before the January transfer window shuts in eight days time. Any newbie’s will join Aaron Ramsey and Dekel Keinan who still waiting on international clearance before completing their transfers. Jones is hoping the Ramsey loan deal could be extended beyond the original month but the ball is court of Arsenal and Arsene Wenger.

Fans can expect to see a few players going out on loan, some of the fringe players and there is still rumour and counter rumour surrounding striker Jay Bothroyd. The transfer market is starting to heat up with just over a week before it closes until the summer.

Why Sport Should Be Cheaper

The Manchester Unied road

The data are overwhelming: no party lost, highest scoring team (48)-along with Arsenal, equipment fewest goals (19), along with Chelsea, and a game that most of its rivals. We keep adding: Berbatov is the top scorer in the Premier League (17) and both Rooney and Nani are the top assistant (9) with Arshavin. The numbers show a deserved lead, an undeniable effectiveness and a championship with a clear favorite. The only must, so far, Manchester United has been his game, something that against Birmingham it was his greatest virtue.

The decisive factor that facelift was Wayne Rooney, who gave a real football recital. Football at its best definition. English regained sensation last winter and wore the leader at Old Trafford. Shone in attack, in constant combinations and assists with Berbatov, Nani and Giggs, shone in the creation of plays-not-dangerous game of his team being the main source of association, and shined on defense, where his killing after loss was again one of his biggest endorsements. If his form and his contribution continues along this path Manchester United will still most favorite for the Premier League. Very complete game, the best of Rooney in months. Brilliant. Exquisite.

also continues to evolve the midfield, with Carrick as the principal exponent and much more settled and balanced at the beginning of the season, despite its early replacement due to injury. The team should be formed from the figure, either Anderson or Fletcher-this much more complete and llegador. The Brazilian, incidentally, completed a remarkable match against Birmingham by moving high across the entire width of the field and remain at all times the backbone of United. Very remarkable, too, the Nani-game once again so far this year, and Chris Smalling, who replaced Ferdinand, and caught on an excellent performance showing a ball prodigious output. At 21, his ability to pass through rival lines with his passes, whether for high or ground level, it seems paramount to the future of the Red Devils defense.

are approaching the decisive moments of the season and Ferguson seem to have a unique strength in England, although they have yet to visit Stamford Bridge, Anfield and the Emirates, in addition to receiving their neighbors and Citizens Chelsea-even have not played against Ancelotti. On the other hand, the option passes to eliminate Champions League Olympique de Marseille, in a tie where they are clear favorites. What really sucks Manchester United? Champions League Is a viable target for them? Which way are you waiting for?

Just get over it

Sunday Mirror columnist Michael Calvin as joined a long list of people in the game who are having a pop at Cardiff City. What it all over, loan signings. Rival fans as well as a good few pundits feel the need to have a pop. Although I am not a fan of Robbie Savage it was good to hear him defend the Bluebirds when someone phone-in to his 606 radio show asking his thought on the subject. After listening about is it unfair that Cardiff have so many, Savage smiply ask the guy phone were Cardiff breaking any rules which he end up say no anyway.

It was all about Craig Bellamy when he signed at the start of the season and the shocking fact that Manchester City is playing a large percentage of his wages. Now it’s ‘boohoo’ they have seven players on loan,  there is not a manager in the Championship who would love to have the same problem as Cardiff boss Dave Jones.

There is no official limit on how many loan signing you can have but there is a limit on the number you can have in your match day squad, the limit is five. Have any rules or laws been broken so why all the gripping. If Bellamy lived just outside Bristol and was a Bristol City fan, with his family there, he would have ended up with them. Would that mean they would have some kind of an unfair advantage? can one player have the power to unlock the key to promotion, I think not.

So what if Manchester City and the other club are chipping in with help with the wages. How the hell can clubs in the low leagues afford the kind of money some of these players are on. There are player just out of youth football who are yet to have a senior starts on £15,000 plus a-week. Managers want to loan out young players them for experience or help with fitness levels for players returning for injury who don't want them going to rivals so its the low leagues. Not many or maybe none can afford those kind of wages Cardiff new owners are bankrolling Cardiff City boss Dave Jones plans. Even Cardiff has helped subsidized wages of players they have sent out on loan.

So what did Calvin say,

Cardiff’s beauty pageant of loan stars is getting ridiculous.
They’ve got the gorgeous, pouting Craig Bellamy. He’s supported by Seyi Olofinjana, Jason Koumas and Andy Keogh. They’re subsidised by Hull, Wigan and Wolves respectively.
Danny Drinkwater is there courtesy of Manchester United. Arsenal have lent Jay Emmanuel Thomas and will allow Aaron Ramsey to help for a month.
The Championship a level playing field?
Don’t make me laugh.
I found out he is a Watford fan and has write a book on Millwall ‘Family: Life, Death and Football’ no conflict of interest there then.

The next grip will be if Cardiff were to make it to the final goal, the Premier League the out cry will be, why is a Welsh team in the premier ‘English League’ why aren’t they playing in the League of Wales.

Taarabt and Routledge Send Sky Blues to Coventry...

QPR 2-1 Coventry

Superb goals from Adel Taarabt and Wayne Routledge, on his 2nd debut and 50th game for the Club, sent Rangers five points clear at the top of the Championship in this lunchtime's televised game at Loftus Road.

It seems an age since I sat down to write the report since the Bristol City game, but I must say we had had a couple of corking reports from Lee following the trips to Blackburn and Burnely. Despite the game being on a Sunday, the gang were all in attendance bright and early at the Springbok, with the inclusion this week of little Jack and also Lee's lovely lady, Jess. But sadly, missing was California Hoop due to family commitments. Football on a Sunday should be banned!!! I must just mention also how nice it was to have a catch up with Corinne and friend Sarah at the Springbok and at half time.

We were all in good spirits beforehand and eager to see what our new signings would bring to the team. However, Wayne Routledge was the only new face to start and Ishmael Miller was on the bench. Pascal Chimbonda was not to feature.

Onto the game and although the R's made a promising start, you couldn't help but think it was going to be another one of those days, when Heidar Helguson headed over from close range with the goal gaping. Taarabt had a shot blocked by the again, impressive Westwood in the Sky Blues goal and he later denied Shaun Derry his first goal for the club, superbly pushing away his 25 yard effort.

Rangers were made to pay for their missed chances on 25 minutes and it just had to happen didn't it? As per the away game at the Lifeless Arena, Marlon King's previous misdemeanours lead to him getting a fair bit of stick from the R's faithful and it was King who silenced the home crowd, shinning McSheffrey's cross home to give the visitors the lead. It could have so easily been two minutes later when Eastwood fortunately dragged an effort wide when in fairness, it looked easier to score.

But on the stroke of half time, the R's were level - the surprisingly subdued at times, Adel Taarabt, cut inside two defenders and curled his shot into the far corner, a superb finish for his 13th goal of the season.

Onto the second half and another 'one of those days' feelings sprang to mind, as Faurlin smashed a low free kick against the Coventry post and the ball rolled across the goal line and spun behind to safety. A free kick that was so well taken, yet we didn't even get a corner from it?

Paddy Kenny then performed heroics in the R's goal with an outstanding triple save, before Ishmael Miller entered the play for the injured Helguson. The big striker almost made an immediate impact, cutting into the box, before unleashing a left footed drive which was superbly saved by Westwood. The referee then decided that football was to become a non contact sport and was making all sorts of quite ridiculous decisions.

But with 11 minutes to go, a moment of magic that will live long in the memory - Taarabt simply carved open the Coventry defence with a pass from the left touchline with the outside of his right boot. Routledge marked a fine second debut by controlling the ball superbly with his right foot and coolly placing home with his left - a quite superb goal!!

Despite a late injury time flurry from Coventry, there was to be no repeat of the Bristol City game a few weeks back and the R's gained their first win in 2011.

QPR: Kenny, Orr, Hill, Derry, Taarabt, Faurlin, Helguson (Miller 55), Gorkss, Routledge (Ephraim 90), Connolly, Smith (Hall 82). Subs: Cerny, Clarke, Hulse, Vaagan Moen.

Lofty's Man of the Match - a big gang discussion for this one, with Paddy Kenny getting the vote from Jo. Corp, Sam and Jess opted for Shaun Derry. But with 4 votes from myself, PK, Luke and Lee, todays award goes to Wayne Routledge.

In summary, a great 3 points in front of the cameras with 2 great goals. Routledge and Miller look decent additions with Chimbonda still to come in and more signings rumoured. Personally, I am glad to see the back of Coventry for this season and chuffed to bits that we have taken 6 points from them. Their style of play isn't pretty to the eye but nevertheless, it leads to them being extremely difficult opponents, but I certainly couldn't go and watch that every week...

Lee returns next Saturday as the LH gang take the road to the KC Stadium for the rearranged game against Hull...

COME ON YOU R'ssssssssssss!!!!!

Keinan nearly a Bluebird

Cardiff City has signed Israeli international centre-back Dekel Keinan from Blackpool for an undisclosed fee on a two-and-a-half year deal with. The official annoucement of his signing as been delayed while the club wait on  his work permit.

According to the Jewish Chronicle the defender will sign a contract for £420,000-a-year which is more than he was on at Blackpool and has a promotion incentive with a £100,000 bonus if Cardiff secures Premier League football.

Talking to the Jewish Chronicle Keinan said,
"The current situation at Blackpool is not good for my career. Cardiff is the best place for me. There is no reason to just carry on sitting on the bench because important for me to play.
“I want to be much more involved on the pitch. Success from my point of view will be getting Cardiff into the Premier League."
Bluebirds boss Jones has not been happy with the mix of defensive options for some time. One of his priorities at the start of the January transfer was a centre-back and after the disappointment of losing out Andy O’Brien to Leeds United. He is available for inclusion in the squad for Watford along with loan signing Jay Emmanuel-Thomas.

The Blackpool boss Ian Holloway confirmed that Keinan is on the verge of signing for Cardiff with.

“Yes, there is a chance.
"My chairman Karl Oyston has been dealing with that, so where that is I don’t know. But, yes, I understand that it is Cardiff.”
However Blackpool fans commenting on the sale and are mostly surprised he is going but he didn't make the grade with Blackpool. Could have Jones saw something Holloway has missed. We will see.

Trio-mendous day for signings.

Today the club announced a trio of signings ahead of this Sunday's fixture against Coventry which is live on Sky from 1pm.

The first signing marked the return of former R's winger Wayne Routledge on loan until the end of the season.

Routledge played 49 times for the club during his last spell before making his January move to Newcastle last season.
Routledge will wear the number 15 shirt.

Signing number two is Pascal Chimbonda on a free transfer from Blackburn Rovers.
Chimbonda has signed a 6 month contract and will provide competition for Bradley Orr and Clint Hill in the full back positions.

Chimbonda made his name in English football when he played for Wigan and was named in the PFA team of the year in 2006/07 season before moving on to Spurs later that year.
After an unsuccessful spell at the North Londoners he moved to Sunderland before making his way back to Spurs and then joining Blackburn in 2009.
Chimbonda will wear the number 39 shirt.

The third and final signing is Ishmael Miller from West Brom.
This signing has not been confirmed on the official website but when Neil Warnock was on the Sky Sports' 'Football League Weekend' show this evening he himself said that the R's had secured his signature.

Latest Andean export: Beauty queens for Mexican narcos?

MEXICO CITY — Mexican drug lords may be importing more than cocaine from the Andean region. It looks as if they're also bringing in beauty queens and models as girlfriends.

The latest case may be that of Juliana Sossa, the winner of a 2008 Colombian beauty pageant, who was arrested Tuesday alongside a man who's accused of leading a drug gang.

Sossa, 25, wore a bulky black parka and loose blue jeans when police took her on a perp walk, a far cry from the revealing swimwear that she dons in publicity videos posted on YouTube.

Police said Sossa unwittingly helped them track down Jorge Balderas Garza, who's known by the nickname "El J.J." and is suspected of leading a drug gang, when she wrote on her Facebook page that she lives in the Bosques de Chapultepec neighborhood of Mexico City. Police said they knew Sossa was the alleged drug lord's girlfriend.

"I like modeling and I've participated in contests like Antioquia 2008 and others that are less well known," Sossa wrote on her Facebook page, adding that she speaks Spanish, English and Italian.

In addition to drug-trafficking charges, her boyfriend is accused of shooting Paraguayan soccer star Salvador Cabanas in the head in a Mexico City nightclub on Jan. 25, 2010. The news shocked Paraguayans, who'd hoped the star would lead the national squad to last summer's World Cup. Though Cabanas recovered, his playing days are over.

About three weeks after the shooting, Interpol authorities issued a red alert for Balderas Garza's capture, finally tracking him down this week.

In November, police arrested Juliana Lopez Aguirre, who's also a Colombian, alongside Harold Mauricio Poveda, a narco suspect known as "El Conejo," or "The Rabbit."

Police say Poveda was the go-between from the Beltran Leyva narcotics gang to Colombian drug traffickers.

The Colombian model had been nearly arrested two years earlier when security agents burst into one of Poveda's properties while she celebrated her birthday. News reports described the property as a "narco-mansion" with a Jacuzzi in a grotto, a dance floor and two pet black panthers.

Another erupted last April and touched on Alicia Machado, a Venezuelan who won the 1996 Miss Universe crown, then was caught in a controversy about her weight gain and Donald Trump's remark that she was an "eating machine."

Machado, a Mexico City resident, found herself in the news again when a report from a secret witness under federal protection that claimed she was involved with Gerardo Alvarez Vazquez, an accused kingpin known as "El Indio," or "The Indian," filtered out to Mexican media.

The witness asserted that Machado had borne Alvarez's daughter, Dinorah, in 2008 and that several drug lords from the Beltran Leyva gang came to the baptism.

Through a spokeswoman, Machado denied the allegation, saying it "was totally false because the father in question is a very respectable businessman."

Another model, Angie Sanclemente, who was crowned Coffee Queen 2000 in her native Colombia, was arrested in Argentina last May. Prosecutors said she'd married a Mexican drug lord known as "El Monstruo," or "The Monster," before relocating to Argentina to manage young women ferrying cocaine to Europe via Mexico.

Gangsters in Mexico also have turned their eyes to homegrown beauty queens. Best known is Laura Elena Zuniga, who was crowned Miss Sinaloa 2008 and went on to capture the title of Miss Hispanic America the same year in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Upon her arrest late that year, Zuniga said she had no idea her boyfriend was a leader of the Juarez Cartel. A judge believed her and set her free in 2009.

Ramsey a Bluebirds for a month?

Welcome home sonny - fancy staying a bit longer
Cardiff City have signed there seventh player on loan this season with the shock return of midfield Aaron Ramsey, on loan.

It was rumoured Cardiff were interested a few months back to bring young Ramsey back to South Wales after his return to fitness after recovering from a broken leg. However, Arsenal decided to send him on a short loan spell to Championship rivals Nottingham Forest were he played his part in five games.

There is no official word at the time of posting this story but the story leaked for the Arsenal managers press conference when asked about Ramsey said he would ‘probably go on loan to Cardiff’

The Premiership club boss Arsene Wenger said today:
"I am considering as well giving Ramsey one month out on loan, with a possibility of him to go to Cardiff.
"I don’t want him to go to a Premier League club because I want him to finish the season with us. I just look for competition for him."
That would take the number of loan players at the Cardiff City Stadium to seven with Cardiff City boss Dave Jones restricted to have five in his match day squad.

Dating website for men of the sea [video]

Even with a mistress as wild as the sea, being a sea captain is a lonely job, a fact to which Captain Caleb Jacobsen can attest. Thanks to Sea Captain Date, though, he has a boatload of lovin' to look forward to when he returns to port.
Run-of-the-mill sailors need not apply, since these ladies are looking for a man with authority. As Sarah Gordon, Captain Jacobsen’s new first mate on shore explains, “Why settle for a boy with a car when you can have a man with a boat?”

Ex-boss Lennie at Palace

Ex-Cardiff City boss Lennie Lawrence has moved out of the grandstand back to the dugout after becoming assistant manager at Crystal Palace.

Has a player he never played league football he plied his trade in non-league football until getting a break has caretaker at Plymouth Argyle. He when on to become coach at Lincoln City and after helping them to promotion he moved on to be become boss of Charlton Athletic. He later when on to managed Middlesbrough, Bradford City, Luton Town, Grimsby Town and Cardiff City.

Lawrence came to Cardiff as a consultant to help support the then manager Alan Cork who was under pressure to give the then chairman Sam Hammam back to back promotion. Cork was set a drifted (Feb 2002) after a run of bad results that damage the dream of the promotion a move that gave the dugout to Lawrence. Cardiff did make the play-off that season only to losing to Stoke City in the play-off semi finals.

In his first full season in charge of the Bluebirds he reached the play-offs again and victory over Bristol City in the semis led to a final against QPR at the Millennium Stadium. An extra-time 1-0 victory thanks to Andy Campbell saw Cardiff into the Championship.

After two more season in charge he was side lined back into a consulting role but after a while moved on.

He did have to go far for his next job as he took up the post of Director of Football at Bristol Rovers, working alongside coach Paul Trollop. He remained at Rovers until leaving the club on 12 May 2010. He spent a short time with non-league Carshalton Athletic in a football consultancy role before he was appointed technical director at Hereford United to assist new manager Jamie Pitman.

Now he as was appointed assistant manager at Crystal Palace, to support new manager Dougie Freedman.

Footnote: Alan Cork is now back with old mate Mickey Adams at Sheffield United, as assistant. It’s not the first time these two tandem at manager and assistant they were together at Fulham, Swansea City, Leicester City.

Keinan to sign??

Cardiff City are rumoured to be close to signing Blackpool centre-half Dekel Keinan. Any deal is expected to be a permanent move for the Israeli international, he joined the Premiership club in the summer from Israeli club Maccabi Haifa in a £500,000 deal.

Until his move to Blackpool all his footballing career had been within Israeli football playing for Maccabi Haifa. He had two loan spells with Bnei Sakhnin and Maccabi Netanya.

During his stay so far with Blackpool he has made little impact he has made only three league starts plus a hand full off the bench, they were three other start in cup competitions the normal for a fringe player. The last competitive game was in the FA Cup against Southampton but the last League game was back in early November. He his reported to be one of the highest earners at Blackpool and manager Ian Holloway would be happy to see him go if he can recoup some of the £500,00 he paid out in the summer.

He was rumoured to be at the Vale training ground this morning and as completed a medical so we have to sit back and wait on the official word.

Wonder hairstyles ...

Our dear Fabiola
Without doubt, our illustrious Queen Fabiola with the unmistakable hair that persisted throughout his life, is a good example to start this entry

In a previous post we had treated the male hairstyles ... Well today I played the turn of the female.

hairstyles for girls of that era that gave the game itself: The stained, thistles, filled with potions ... Everything was fine for attention.

The more volume and more striking was the style, was more fashionable.

music stars, those which imitated (I hope in everything except the hair) were in the forefront of ribbons, hair and curls. Barbers Rupert rate or Llongueras, expanded into a frenzy worthy of Edward Scissorhands himself and using rollers, curlers and dryers, all these birguerías made the hairs of these ladies.

These examples are singers, actresses, famous, anonymous people, etc. The case was to draw attention and excel. At least that's what got ...

to see girls ... "Llevasties you something?? hehehehe ...

Just right out of The Crystal Ball

This is the hair and clothes more appropriate for sports.

What a lizard was made ... It was the terror of rodents!

This is a Christmas holiday that he sent his mom ...

Poor husband ... Do you remember?

always traveled with his vanity

Facing ...
profile
O ... I do not know how I like more!

seems that instead of the vacuum dryer used Ghostbusters!

Can you imagine the hat size to be used by the great Tina??

always smiling, every hair was in place forever.

Surely all these hairstyles headache rose to more than one. Would have to be complicated trying to sleep with these superpelos muss the least because if not, the next day would play early to replace every hair in place.

Anyway, hope that no matter how retro fashion again, do not give us to return back to these pelucones. The ozone layer will thank us, right?

All about promotion now

It's all about promotion NOW!
Ok we are out of the FA Cup and it A case of ‘am I bovvered’ well not really. I would much prefer to be playing Stoke City in the Premiership next season and so would Cardiff City boss Dave Jones and everyone involved with Cardiff City.

Watching the game on FATV I was glad to be sitting at home, it was dyer. The game looked to have extra-time stamped on it the longer the game went on even penalties at the beginning of extra-time. It was not to be with two extra-time goals for the Premier League club, leaving Cardiff to concentrate on the Championship. Watching the game in HD the pitch looked awful.

Boss Jones made wholesale changes from the team that drew with Norwich at the weekend, no McNaughton, Quinn, Whittingham, Olofinjana and Bellamy, were in the squad while Chopra was on the bench. It gave a chance of a number of younger members of the squad and fringe players a full on competitive game, not behind closed door friendlies.

It was good to see Danny Drinkwater back in the starting line-up after his injury problems, he played 75minutes but City boss Jones will have some concerns over McPhail who limped off deep into the first half. He his reported to have picking up a hamstring injury and the club are waiting on a scan to see the full extent.

Overall manager Dave Jones was happy with the performance of the players who succumbed to an extra-time defeat against Stoke City. Cardiff boss Jones said after the game:
"We had a lot of youngsters in there tonight and they haven't let anyone down.
"I can't fault them. We wanted to go through, and the team nearly did it, but we probably lacked a little bit of awareness at the death.
"This has given the youngsters a great taste of FA Cup football. They went out there and gave everything they had and we are disappointed we have gone out.
