Surprise, surprise the midfielder Danny Drinkwater who has only just returned to his parent club Manchester United, after a loan spell with the Bluebirds has joined Championship rivals Watford loan to the end of the season.
Betting among Cardiff fans reckon he would be off to Peterborough with the son, father relationship between Peterborough and Manchester United management.
It looks like the rumour that Sir Alex Ferguson recalled his player due to the lack of game was right. They would have been a bit scarcer with arrival on loan of Jay Emmanuel-Thomas followed by Aaron Ramsey. Emmanuel-Thomas is here until the end of the season but Ramsay is only here for a month and is looking to rejoin the Arsenal squad sooner rather then later, so an extension to the month loan deal is looking unlikely.
Still a few days left before the end of the transfer window shuts and with a weekend free, will have see what City boss Dave Jones planed over the next few days.
