Back up to second after win

Good win on Saturday and back second if only on goal difference as it gets all tight at the top of the Championship table. Top of the table QPR are now five points ahead of Cardiff in second with 47 points which the share with Norwich and Swansea.

Cardiff City maybe well be without a game until Tuesday week with the visit of Reading who are also vying for an automatic promotion, but will still have to look over they shoulders. A number rivals have games this week, Nottingham Forest have a game tomorrow with a win seeing them a point behind Cardiff, with a game in hand. Then on Saturday both QPR and Norwich have game that could see Cardiff further behind QPR and Norwich leapfrog over the City into second.  On Tuesday 1st Feburay, there will be a full fixture list for the Championship

Upcoming game of interest
Tuesday - Nottingham Forest v Bristol City
Saturday - Crystal Palace v Norwich
Saturday - Hull v QPR
The Cardiff City boss Dave Jones can now concentrate on bring in the two or three players he wants to sign before the January transfer window shuts in eight days time. Any newbie’s will join Aaron Ramsey and Dekel Keinan who still waiting on international clearance before completing their transfers. Jones is hoping the Ramsey loan deal could be extended beyond the original month but the ball is court of Arsenal and Arsene Wenger.

Fans can expect to see a few players going out on loan, some of the fringe players and there is still rumour and counter rumour surrounding striker Jay Bothroyd. The transfer market is starting to heat up with just over a week before it closes until the summer.
