Drinkwater |
Cardiff City boss Dave Jones could have midfielder Danny Drinkwater back in contention to be in the squad tomorrow at Norwich. The midfielder came through a hard workout with the reserves in mid-week and should find himself utilized in some way or another on Saturday even if he is on the bench.
He had been out with an injury and a bout of illness on top that off, he has not played since Middlesbrough away in early December.
Along with Drinkwater fringe players Adam Matthews and Darcy Blake also had a run out in the mid-week game with the team mainly made up of youth players.
There was no Jay Bothroyd and Chris Riggott, Bothroyd is light training and is hoping to step that up next week to be ready for the Watford game a week Saturday. Riggott season is going from bad to worst, since signing for the Bluebirds in September fitness problems plus injury has seen him play only 84minutes and now could be out for two months with a nasty hamstring tear.
