Its decision time for Cardiff City transfer target Andrew Taylor has he will be holding talks with is current club Middlesbrough before putting an end to the tug-of-war for his services. Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray want to keep him while Cardiff City and Bristol City want him.
A decision by later today or maybe tomorrow would be nice when he will be officially a free agent hopefully only free until he signs for City boss Malky Mackay. Taylor has visited both Cardiff and Bristol City and is rumoured to have been impressed with the Cardiff set-up and he already knows the ability of the manager spent part of last season on loan at is previous club Watford.
Taylor has been on Mackay's radar for some time he wanted to sign him while he was at Watford and if he was still manager at the London club he would still be waiting on a phone call today probably.
With pre-season about to start in earnest, the squad is woefully short on the player's front and backroom staff. So far, Cardiff has had one summer signing Craig Conway and with the interest in Taylor and are chasing striker David Goodwillie. Cardiff’s first pre-season friendly on the 12 July against Gibraltar in Spain and Charlton a few days later again in Spain. The club has been very quiet about the two fixtures an announced was made on the Gibraltar and Charlton websites.
