Dundee United midfielder Craig Conway as chosen to sign for Cardiff City over joining Rangers and will be new manager's Malky Mackey first signing according to BBC Scotland. Conway has been a long-term target of Mackey from is Watford days, but they did not have the finance clog to bring off the deal. Conway, 26, told BBC Scotland,
"I was really impressed by [Cardiff manager] Malky Mackay when I met him when he was manager at Watford".
The Bluebirds chief executive Gethin Jenkins will finalise deal as manager Mackey is on holiday until the end of the week. Rangers could not match the Bluebirds in the way of personal terms for the player who will be travelling down to Wales to take a medical and finalise a move. The midfielder is out of contract with is SPL club and as well as beating off Rangers there were also a number of other English based club interested in him.
