Has things just start to hot up at Cardiff City meanwhile Down Under our namesakes South Cardiff and Cardiff City FC are back in action after last weekend’s washout. Cardiff are back into winning ways after two defeats.
South Cardiff were away to Hamilton Olympic and won 3-2 there win and the defeat Lake Macquarie means Cardiff move within a point of Lake who currently occupy the all important fourth spot. Cardiff drop from top of the league table to third over the last few weeks.
Next week end they have a tough encounter with second place Weston Workers who they recently beat in the Solo Cup, the game ended 0-0 with Cardiff going on to win 5-4 on penalties.
The South Cardiff U23 were battered 5-0 while the U19 won 5-2.
Cardiff City FC from the Northern NSW Zone Premier League could only manage a 1-1 draw home against Dudley Redhead. They have dropped off top spot in the league over the last few games and are now third. Next weekend Cardiff travel Mayfield who are presently next to bottom in the league who had had their game is weekend at Mayfield Park postponed

Hamilton Olympic wasted a golden opportunity to move into second place when they gave up a 2-0 lead to go down 3-2 to South Cardiff at Darling St Oval.
John Majurovski scored a brace to steer Olympic to a 2-1 lead at the break. But the match turned early in the second half when Harry James, returning from suspension, was given his second yellow card.
‘‘That cost us the game,’’ Olympic coach Mick Bolch said.
