Its gardening duties for some of the Cardiff City backroom staff has new boss Malky Mackay plans. Mackay wants his own number two and in other key posts to re-fluxes his training ideas and way of play. It means assistant boss Terry Burton and first-team coach Paul Wilkinson on paid leave and free to find new club.
The Cardiff manager met the backroom staff at Cardiff yesterday, but had planned to make changes on taking the job anyway. If his plans are to restructure is backroom staff we will have to see if any others leave as well. He had earmarked his assistant at Watford Sean Dyche to join him at Cardiff, but Watford moved quickly to offer him the manager's job.
Mackay and Cardiff City have a busy time ahead before pre-season training kick-off as well as the ongoing search for new players there is now the issues of coaching staff to find.
