Mackey wanted his Watford coach Dyche to join him

The present Cardiff City Assistant manager/coach Terry Burton must be wondering if he has a future at Cardiff City when the new boss Malky Mackey wanted his coach assistant Sean Dyche to join him from Watford.

Talking to The Watford Observer after being named the new Watford manager Dyche said:
"Malky wanted me to go with him [to Cardiff] and there was a window between when Malky took the job and then a window when they came back and spoke to me.
"Fortunately for me, as it has turned out, Laurence Bassini, the owner, got it contact with me and said "look, why do you want to go? Why don't you at least talk to us?"

So is Burton's job safe or will Mackey still want to bring in his own man. The Cardiff City boss is expected home from is holiday tomorrow and maybe things will become much clearer.
