So what next for the release

So what the future of the Cardiff players release today some will struggle while some will have the door opened for them.
Gavin Rae – there are a number of teams rumoured to be interested in signing the midfielder. Aberdeen has ready said they want him so a return to the SPL is on the cards.
Chris Burke – Should attract interest from both sides of the border he was reported to be happy to stay with Cardiff. However, he is surplus to requirements and could well join Rae with an offer to go back to Scotland.
Martin John – there was talk of a MSL club sniffing around the midfielder or maybe a lower league club or non league club could give him a break.
Jay Bothroyd – Everton and Fulham are just a few clubs linked with the former Cardiff City striker and should be fixed up pretty soon with a lower end of the Premier League  table club.
Adam Matthews - Fixed himself up in January with a move to Celtic.
Sameth Al-Basith – Hard for a youngest when they find themselves released. He will probably end up playing in the Welsh League.
Stefan Jones – Another young player who could end up in Welsh league football, maybe Welsh Premier League if he stays in football.
There is a likelihood a few more of the present squad could leave. Defender Gabor Gyepes has expressed an interest in leaving if Dave Jones was to stay on has manager. Midfielder Solomon Taiwo back from a loan deal has he got a future with the club?

The squad now consists of 3 keepers and 17 out players of which 5 players have next to no first team experience so new players will be need by hopefully there will not be so many loan signings next season.
