Martin John and Chris Rae released

Cardiff are letting four players from the first team squad go Midfielder Gavin Rae, Chris Burke and Martin John plus striker Jay Bothroyd will not be offered new contracts and are released to find new clubs. Adam Matthews sorted out a move to Celtic back in January after the club showed next to no interest in offering the young defender a new contract. Youth players Sameth Al-Basith and Steffan Jones have also been released.


Bothroyd was expected to be leaving the club after the failure of securing promotion to the Premier League and there has been a long-term rumour Burke would also be on his way out if there was no promotion. Midfielder John only player one game for the Bluebirds and had a loan spell with Newport County. Gavin Rae has found himself out in the cold for much of this season and it was expected he would be going. He near went in January with Leeds and Aberdeen interested in taking him away from Cardiff, but manager decided to keep him. Aberdeen still interest in signing him, but he is rumour to have offers.

 
All the loan players are officially back with their clubs its unknown if any will be returning next season. The club has given six young players new contract Jordan Santigo, Alex Evans, Jonathan Meades, Ibrahim Farah and Nathaniel Jarvis has the club looks to the future.

 
Cardiff have welcomed back there three loan players Anthony Gerrard, Aaron Wildig and Solomon but will all three be here for the start of the season? Everyone is waiting and the budget for next season and the future of Dave Jones.

 
The Malaysians are reported to want to concentrate on youth development and then relaying least on transfers and loan players. The remaining squad him are not set in stone there could be some offers and Cardiff if interested might be will to let them. Then again some could want to leave.
