It's the Play-off then

There is nothing much to say about the game today it was awful. Thinking of one thing good to say about the game is near on impossible. Today I feel just like Cardiff boss Dave Jones looked into in the after match interview, dire and uncountable. Three goals down within twenty minutes the game was over all three of them were sloppy.

Craig Bellamy and Jay Bothroyd are on nine yellow Cardiff just one more to the magic ten and what I thought was a two match, but know the rules say

(v) If a Player accumulates ten cautions in FTCM between the opening day of the Playing Season and the last day of the same Season, he will be: - "Severely censured and warned as to his future conduct"

If the ten had come before the second week in April, then it would be a two match ban.

Portsmouth couldn't do Cardiff a favour tonight so Norwich are promoted along with QPR that's depending on if the FA, could they really do it, points or fine. They would have to be docked nine points or more to give Cardiff a back door into the Premier League not forget Swansea are right on Cardiff's back. Watching the Norwich boss chat away all I could feel was it should have been us and I feel sorry for the Malaysians who have back Cardiff boss Dave Jones all the way.

It's not over for Cardiff, but there is still one game to play finishing third is better than fourth and if we finish third it will be the highest finish since 1970/71 season. It will also mean bragging rights over our local rivals Swansea who fourth.

With only one game to go it's almost certain the play-offs will be between Cardiff, Swansea, Reading and Nottingham Forest with only final position left to sort out. City would play Nottingham Forest semi-final, but we will all have to wait until full-time on Saturday.
