I am now excited about next season that's now quick I have forgotten about today. We are not in the Premiership so I have no interest in it. I am ready for the new era without ex-Cardiff City boss Dave Jones and excited over whom will be the new boss.
Whoever comes in they will have to hit floor running with little time to catch his breath. There is a rumour that the new manager could come via a promotion from the present coaching staff with the possibility of Craig Bellamy coming in as coach pending on talks with Manchester City. There is an urgency to replenish the squad with new players after 12 players left at the end of the season.
I feel in my bones next season will be no push over in the Championship but one thing any new boss must do is secure automatic promotion no messing with the play-offs. There are six new teams in the Championship next season Birmingham, Blackpool and West Ham relegated from the Premier League with their parachute players looking for an instant return to the top table.
Has for last season teams Reading and Nottingham Forest will be a danger and will be hoping to go one better than a play-off place. As for the rest they will all be looking to do better and while Cardiff stall they are strengthening their squads. Leeds, Burnley, Millwall, Leicester, Hull, Middlesbrough, Ipswich, Watford, Bristol City, Portsmouth, Barnsley, Coventry, Derby, Crystal Palace and Doncaster will be looking for a more fruitful 2011/12 season.
Then there are the three who won promotion from Division One Brighton, Southampton and Peterborough they will be hoping to emulate promoted Norwich and gain a double promotion.
