According to the Daily Mirror Cardiff City missed out on bring in Aston Villa midfielder Barry Bannan on loan. With a number of clubs in the Championship interested in his services he decided to join promotion rivals Leeds United.
Cardiff is in the market for another loan midfielder with the lost of Aaron Ramsey who since returning to Arsenal has not featured in their last two games. Cardiff City boss Dave Jones is rumoured to still be interested in bring Ramsey back on loan.
