Chropa out until next season

A late night tweet from Cardiff City striker Michael Chopra sent fans into despair, it read:

'Totally devastated my season is over out for 10/12 weeks with grade 3 tear in my hamstring all about getting fit for next season'
It was soon confirmed on the official club’s website in response to the striker’s tweet. It was earlier hoped he would miss a month but the rest of the season will bring food for thought for manager Dave Jones. Will he make use of the Emergency Loan system to replace Chropa?

It’s a major blow to promotion chase with only nine games to go and with his striking partner Jay Bothroyd under pressure from a section of the fans. Boss Dave Jones has favoured a Chropa/Bothroyd strike partnership most of the season when both are fit.
