Another keeper for Cardiff

Cardiff City is surprisingly linked with Derby goalkeeper Stephen Bywater in the press today. Cardiff boss Dave Jones secured the services of Blackburn's Welsh international keeper Jason Brown on an emergency one-month loan not a season long.

Cardiff are in the midst of a goalkeeping crisis with their two senior keepers carrying injuries, Scottish international David Marshall has a long term elbow injury that the club feel needs surgery to fix. Tom Heaton is playing with a groin injury and need treatment. Manager Jones has been searching for temporary replacements and after a few knock backs seems to have sorted the problem.

The chatter surrounding Bywater is he will be signing for the rest of the season but Derby will have a 24 hours notice of recall. Bywater has been on loan with the Bluebirds before back in 2002-2003 season. He did not play nor was he on the bench for the one month stay, he was signed after Cardiff lost their then No1 Neil Alexander.
