CARDIFF City moved on to the Second Round of the Carling City tonight after beat Second Division Oxford United 1 - 3, but need extra time to do it. There is already a cry from some fans to bring on Swansea who will be in the pot for tonight's draw which is live . That was eased when Whittingham restore Cardiff lead in the 94 minute. A throw-in found Whittingham, who cut inside and unleashed a left-foot drive from 25-yards out which the Oxford goalkeeper had no chance with.
All Cardiff players on international duly seem to have coming through their games and should all be available for the Sevenside derby against Bristol City on Sunday at the Cardiff City stadium.
