CARDIFF CITY are being linked to Manchester United striker Federico Macheda according to the Sunday Star with the paper suggesting that Bluebirds boss Malky Mackay has not refused to rule out a loan move for the players.
If United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was to single a willingness to loan out 20, Macheda the competition would be intense to sign him up from the Premier League and Championship.
Mackay said, “United, like many others, are a club who are still in the Carling Cup and you saw the other night that they are playing a lot of their talented youngsters”.
The Cardiff management have a good relationship with they counter parts at United through from former boss Dave Jones who brought in Tom Heaton and Danny Drinkwater. While present boss Malky MacKay when he was at Watford where he nurtured United midfield Tom Cleverley.
It is just a rumour with the loan window expect to take off next week as clubs take full advantage of the 93 day rule on loan deals. The rule gives clubs the option to resign players after the 93 days so extending any deals until the end of the season if so desiered.
