CARIDFF CITY boss Malky Mackay is waiting on reports on his injury legions before considering his options ahead of the clash with top of the table Southampton tomorrow.
So far, definitely out are both strikers Rob Earnshaw and Rudy Gestede who will miss tomorrow night’s game and the trip to Hull City and it looks unlike Earnshaw will be joining up with the Welsh squad during international break. Another player out is defender Lee Naylor who as picked up a calf injury he was in the team against Leicester in place of the injured Andrew Taylor.
Others from the Leicester game on the treatment table Mark Hudson and Craig Conway who have both rolled their ankles are to have scans. However, they are expected to miss the Saints game, but could be back for the Hull trip to take some pressure off Mackay.
With goalkeeper Tom Heaton out and with defender Ben Turner yet to make his debut since joining at the end of August, think are not looking good for Mackay. Stephen McPhail received a groin strain in the Leicester Carling Cup game last week and there is suggestion he could be there or there about fitness wise, the possibility more likely for Saturday. Dekel Keinan is reported to be edging towards fitness, but doubtful for tomorrow.
It should be an interesting team section tomorrow ...... If Malky wants to know here is my starting eleven.
Marshall
McNaughton Blake Gerrard Quinn
Whittingham Gunnarson Kiss Cowie
Miller Mason
