Can City afford Routledge

On the radar of Cardiff City boss is Newcastle winger Wayne Routledge a long time target of the City boss. I won’t be cheap Newcastle are after £2million with all the cash up front – no payment plans. The board are willing to back manager Dave Jones in his transfer requests to a point, but two million up front could be to much
Routledge had a brief loan spell at Cardiff in 2008, scoring two goals in nine games, his style of play gained him quick support amoug the Cardiff fan. Cardiff looked to have agreed a price that the time with his then club Aston Villa of £300,000. The deal looked to be done but at the last minute Routledge rejected the deal. He was told of the interest from QPR and while the two clubs were trashing out a deal over the phone Routledge headed for a meeting at the London club. Later the every same day he turned down the Bluebirds he signed for QPR in a £600,000 and rumour better terms offered by Cardiff .

Cardiff is hoping to do some kind of deal that could bring him to South Wales.
