Anand Sharma calls for development of northeast

Guwahati: India's Trade Minister Anand Sharma on Saturday called for the development of infrastructure and communication links in the remote northeastern states, so as to accelerate industrial growth in the remote region. Sharma said that the tax exemptions proposed under the Industrial Policy for the northeastern states are under consideration of the federal government.
