First electric-powered multicopter takes to the air

Despite airplanes becoming a regular form of travel and mankind reaching the moon decades ago, when humankind dreams, they still take to the sky.
Thomas Senkel broke another barrier last month in the history of flight when he became the first to pilot an electric-powered multicopter in Germany. The craft – which on one hand looks like a very elegantly constructed piece of engineering and on the other, a nightmare that keeps whole flocks of birds awake at night in horror – took to the air for a minute and thirty seconds.
After flying the craft, Senkel commented that,
"The flight characteristics are good natured. Without any steering input it would just hover there on the spot.”
Plus, you can slice and dice an entire Thanksgiving meal in midair.
