Militants scupper north-east India's economic chances

The region of Meghalaya lies in India's north-east. It is an area associated with militancy and violence, with the largest number of groups in the country - as many as 30.
The subsequent lack of economic development and opportunity means it is one of the least developed areas in India. There are no big industries set up in any of the seven states, with the exception of Assam.
The BBC's Delnaz Irani visited the region to find out what was being done.
